SO. i was about to give up on this whole blogging thing....too much work, too little time.... however, then I found a whole new reason to blog - maternity clothes. Yes, i am preggo with #2 - which means I get to say bye bye to a huge portion of my closet in favor of good ole maternity wear.
I am only 16 weeks along now, so though i cant wear any of my non-maternity pants anymore, I can still wear a lot of my tops (tho some have become crop tops). I am trying to wear as many as i can in the coming weeks before I can't squeeze into them anymore. Dressing while preggo is a struggle for me - I always feel like I look frumpy no matter what, which is difficult when you are expected to look polished at work. Also, I am so NOT interested in shopping for new clothes, since I know this is my last pregnancy and whats the point in buying things i will only wear for a few months? So, my mission is to just buy some good key maternity items (good pants, mostly) and get creative with the rest - maybe try to buy things I'll be able to wear post-baby too? and accessorize!
Today I got to dress casual for work (in honor of MLK day - would rather have had the day off but whatevs), so I wore my new ABSOLUTE FAVORITE corduroys from Old Navy - seriously these pants are SO freaking comfy I could wear them every day. I hope they still fit me after pregnancy. I love that the waistband kinda looks like normal pants too - no big ole silly panel or an elastic band that cuts of my circulation! yay! Also, you will see the rest of my outfit is all non-maternity...mission accomplished! however, i was lagging a bit on the accessories - too lazy today.

Work to date night..... 9.8.11
Here is what I am wearing to work today. Clearly I have an obsession with the pencil skirt/cami/cardigan combination...... anyway.
Then i have a date night (!) with the hubby. Swap out the pencil skirt for my favorite skinny jeans, put on some more fun shoes, and (just for some variety) a new cardigan... voila! date night ready.

Work, 9.6.11
It was a long and semi-restful Labor Day weekend, and I am facing the beginning of a BUSY next two weeks. Plus its 400 degrees out. So i went with something light and summery today. (note - i was in court this morning so i subbed out the cardi for a black blazer and the shoes for black peep toes; i am not sure it really worked but oh well! I REALLY need a new suit!)
